The Washington State Department of Health released updated K-12 COVID-19 School Requirements for the 2021-22 school year, which included updated policies for sport and activities. The full text of the requirements can be found on the DOH Website by using the link below.
Requirements for sporting activities begin on page 14 of the document while requirements for extracurricular performing arts begins on page 17.
The WIAA encourages all schools to continue to work with their local departments of health when navigating COVID protocols.
DOH Document: K-12 School RequirementsWith the spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19, many in our community are facing economic impacts due to closures and restrictions. Freeman School District is working closely with our partners to make sure families have the resources they need to thrive. The Freeman School District is committed to providing accurate and transparent information regarding COVID-19 cases on our campus, while also maintaining privacy and confidentiality for our students and staff. The data will be updated through our partnership with the ESD101 and Spokane Regional Health District. This data will be updated regularly and as cases are confirmed. In the event of a positive case, school communities are notified directly by their principals or school staff.
