    WIAA Updated District Map

Every four years, the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) conducts their classification process to determine which classification (4A, 3A, 2A, 1A, 2B, or 1B) each Washington State HS will compete in.  Please watch the 2 minute update video below from the WIAA and check out the Classification Cycle Fact Sheet, the Updated Classification Counts through October 2023, and the Classification Process Timelines (listed below in the box).  The new Classification Cycle will begin in the 2024-25 school year and runs for four years (2024-2028).  We encourage you to review these documents to educate yourself about the process.

The Freeman School Board will have a WIAA Classification Process Advance Work Session on Wednesday, November 29th, 2023 at 5pm in the K-8 MPR.  Chad Ripke and Mike Allen will present the most updated information pertinent to both the NEA League (1A) and the 2B League.

Please note: the WIAA Classification placement does not affect funding from the state, class offerings, etc. for Freeman.

    Thank you.
