Workplace Safety Guest Speaker
Our students in Construction & Metals classes had a guest speaker this week who came in to talk about workplace safety. Young workers are much more likely to get injured at work than experienced workers. For this reason, L&I wants to reach young people before they enter the workforce. Students were drawn to Matt’s story of how he lost his arm while working at a sawmill on the west side of the state. He’s been speaking to students for about 10 years.
