    Welcome back to the 2019 - 2020 school year. I hope you all had a great summer! I look forward to another great year at Freeman Middle School.

    This site has been set up to assist both students and parents. On this site you will find information about what is happening in each of my classes.  You will be able to find out about large projects and find tools that will help you be successful.

    Mr. Neely A little background about myself. My name is Kelly Neely. I have been teaching Middle School in the Freeman School District since 1991. Previously, I taught at Lakeside Elementary School in Worley, Idaho. I graduated from Okanogan High School in 1984. I earned my BA in Elementary Ed., PE, and Special Education from Whitworth University (College) in 1988. I earned my Masters in Computer Education in 1998 from Lesley College. Currently, I teach 7th grade World History/Washington State History, 8th grade U.S. History and Project Lead the Way: Computer Science for Inovators and Makers. I am also the assistant head football coach at the high school (29th year).  I retired from coaching middle school and high school baseball after 28 years in 2018.

    I have been married to my wonderful wife Jen since 1996. I have two children who attended Freeman Elementary, Middle and High School. Currently my son is a junior at the University of Montana and my daughter is a freshmen at the University of Washington.  I feel very fortunate to be a teacher at Freeman and am very glad that my children were able to attend such a great school.
