    Welcome back to the 2023 - 2024 school year. I hope you all had a great summer! I look forward to another great year at Freeman Middle School.

    Mr. Neely A little background about myself. My name is Kelly Neely. I have been teaching Middle School in the Freeman School District since 1991. Previously, I taught at Lakeside Elementary School in Worley, Idaho. I graduated from Okanogan High School in 1984. I earned my BA in Elementary Ed., PE, and Special Education from Whitworth University (College) in 1988. I earned my Masters in Computer Education in 1998 from Lesley College. Currently, I teach 7th grade Medieval History/Washington State History, 8th grade U.S. History and Computer Science: Coding and Tech. I am also the assistant head football coach at the high school.  I retired from coaching middle school and high school baseball after 28 years in 2018.

    I have been married to my wonderful wife Jen since 1996. I have two children who attended Freeman Elementary, Middle and High School. My son graduated from the University of Montana in 2021, and my daughter graduated from the University of Washington in 2023.  I feel very fortunate to be a teacher at Freeman and am very glad that my children were able to attend such a great school.
