Hello! Thank you for visiting my page! My name is Barb Gady and I am pleased to be teaching first grade this year!! I have been a teacher for 20+ years. I have taught Special Education from Pre-K through 12th grade, and two years in Kindergarten. Previously, I taught at Taholah, Cheney, Nine Mile Falls, and Central Valley but Freeman is HOME! I am excited for this school year and feel privileged to teach FIRST GRADE AT FREEMAN!! My goal is to give your child a great start in school by teaching fundamental skills in a fun, safe, creative environment. I am always excited to meet my students and their families because forming relationships to support the needs and goals of my students is so important.I was raised in a small town in western Washington, near Mt. Rainier and Mt. St. Helens. I graduated from White Pass High School, attended the University of North Carolina then WSU, where I received my B.A. I got my Master's Degree from Gonzaga University, and completed the requirements to achieve my National Boards certification. My husband Dwayne and I (yes, "Mr. Gady") have three fabulous and talented children; all are Freeman graduates also! We are proud and blessed to teach and farm in our wonderful community. GO SCOTTIES!My contact information is bgady@freemansd.org or please call 291-4791.
