• Welcome to Freeman Elementary, where you are a stranger only once, and part of our family forever!  It only takes one visit to understand why we have parents, grandparents, family, and community members volunteering in our office, classrooms, library, and working with children every day.  Freeman Elementary establishes a foundation for students, families, and staff to work collectively in the pursuit of excellence.

    Freeman's respect and deep understanding of the significant relationship between student/ parent/ and teacher is the foundation of our success.  We are dedicated to partnering with our parents and community to enhance the education of our children.  Your child is our child from 8:15 AM to 2:45 PM.  As a Freeman student each individual is nurtured by all the staff members from our office staff, to our paraeducators and custodians, and most of all... our talented teachers.

    The foundation of Freeman's success is our parents, staff, and community.  Our campuses see a multitude of volunteers on campus each day assisting in classrooms, the office, playgrounds, and more.  Our school survives and thrives because of our volunteer support.  It is expected, depended upon and greatly appreciated.

    The Freeman staff prides itself on continual P-5 instruction of our core reading and math programs.  These programs offer differentiated instruction, enhancement, and a deep understanding of learning that is assessed through AIMSweb screenings three times per year and the new Washington State Smarter Balanced Assessment at the end of the school year in grades 3-8.
